Google has announced the addition of real-time search results to its main results, to ensure users can access the most relevant content to their query. This is clearly a response to the success of Twitter and the desire for real-time results that the micro-blogging platform has instigated. The real-time results will be displayed amongst standard results, with ranking being determined by relevance, however users can select to only view the latest results, which result in them receiving a constant stream of content from sites such as Twitter, Facebook and MySpace.
